EECO Group One Systems are all are designed and manufactured in accordance with the Safety Code for Elevators & Escalators, ASME A17.1/CSA B44.

The EECO Roped Cantilever holeless design uses wire ropes in conjunction with a single hydraulic jack to lift the elevator at a 1:2 ratio. For each foot the jack rises, the elevator rises two feet. Below you will find a drawing page from our catalog which you can download.

UV-5AT Elevator Control Valve

The UV-5AT is equipped with full Temperature Compensation over its entire operational temperature range of 80° to 150° F (27° C to 65° C) by compensating for variations in oil temperature and viscosity, maintaining consistent elevator operation regardless of oil temperature. The UV-5AT is capable of handling flow rates of 20 to 200 gpm.

The UV-4R has all the performance qualities of larger commercially available hydraulic control valves. Qualities such as full leveling in the up and down directions and pressure regulation to maintain constant down speed.

EECO Load Weighing Kit (LWK)

EECO’s Load Weighing Kit (LWK) is an addition to a new or existing Power Unit to prevent the elevator from being overloaded. The switch can be wired into the controller, if the provision is available, through either a normally open or normally closed contact. The kit consists of a field adjustable pressure switch with 48” wire leads, a 4-1/2” long grooved nipple (2”, 2-1/2”, 3”, & 4” sch 80), a 1/2” flex 90° screw-in conduit fitting, and (3) 5’-0” extensions of 18 awg wire with butt splices and #8 spade terminals.

Load Weighing Switch

The Load Weighing Switch is a field adjustable switch. It has a normally open and normally closed contact and is supplied with 48” leads. The switch is mounted by a 1/4" NPT fitting and has a provision to attach a 1/2" conduit.

Telescopic Cylinder Lifting Clamp

Telescopic Lifting Clamp Assemblies (TLC) are specifically designed to lift EECO Telescopic Jacks, and are to be mounted on the cylinder under the lower head. These clamps are designed to lift and hold hydraulic jack cylinders safely during construction. Constructed of formed steel bar for light weight and easy handling. These clamps are equipped with shackles for lifting and tensioning bolts for applying pressure around cylinder pipe. The maximum rated load for the Telescopic Cylinder Lifting Clamp is 2,000 lbs.

Valve Return Filter (VRF)

The Valve Return Filter (VRF) is a passive oil filtration system attached to the tank return port of the valve. The filtration bag can be easily replaceable without having to remove the bag’s flange. The VRF allows you to easily comply with the ASME A17.1/CSA B44 Rule 8.6.5.1.1 by capturing particles 5 microns in size and larger preventing the buildup of debris within the tank making it easier to clean.

The Valve Return Filter is available with 2" male pipe thread, 2" female pipe thread, or 2" grooved connections. The filtration bag is rated at 200 gpm.

When greater flow rates are required a second VRF needs to be installed in parallel. Filter bags are required to be replaced when the tank return port pressure is 3 – 5 psi or bags become discolored, brown/black in color. The top of the flange is to be located no more than 16-3/4" from the minimum oil level.

UV-5AT Valve Training Simulator

The EECO UV-5AT Valve Training Simulator is ideal for training Construction, Repair, and Service Mechanics. Completely portable, it rolls on castors and fits through standard doors. It reacts the same as a normal elevator to provide hands-on training for valve adjustments, repair, or replacement.

The UV-5AT valve can be completely disassembled without removing it from the simulator.

The simulator is available for loan on a temporary basis and is available for purchase.

EECO Valve Identification

This page will assist you in identification of your EECO Elevator Control Valve. The images below represent the currently available EECO Control Valves. Specifically, note the arrangement of the coils and the shape of the valve body. On the UV-5AT valve notice the color of the faceplate. On the UV-7BC valve, the blue painted flange indicates down speed control.

EECO Elevator Control Valve Serial Numbers Explained

Please refer to the image at left. This image shows a typical EECO Control Valve Serial Number. It contains information about the valve size, valve series, the date of manufacture and the individual valve sequential number.

Valve Size

The Valve Size can be one or two digits.
If it is two digits, that signifies different sizes for up and down.

Valve Series - This is a letter and corresponds to changes in the Valve Body.
Year of Manufacture - Two Digits
Month of Manufacture - One Digit or Letter

1-9 Correspond to Jan. through Sep.
The Letter "O" Corresponds to Oct.
The Letter "N" Corresponds to Nov.
The Letter "D" Corresponds to Dec.
Sequential Number - Six Digits

In the early 2000s, EECO changed the size designation for our control valves. The chart below shows the old and new designation.
