Job Title: Elevator Design Engineer
Elevator Design Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)
Design, develop, and test elevator systems and components for new and existing structures based on the company’s Group One System configurations. Review project proposals and plans for elevator system construction and consult with clients and management to confirm design specifications, project budgets and timelines, and compliance with building codes and regulations. Work with the Engineering Manager to develop elevator system designs and create layout drawings, sketches, and 3D models of hydraulic components using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Perform static stress and flow analysis using SolidWorks and ANSYS and calculate stress tolerance for complex assemblies and sub-assemblies. Develop Bills of Materials for projects and work with manufacturers and suppliers to ensure designs are compatible with the fabrication process. Generate and implement engineering change orders (ECOs) to adjust designs according to manufacturing and material specifications. Oversee the installation of elevator systems and test components to ensure appropriate functionality. Simulate desired oil flow rates and modify mechanical valve controls to regulate flows within hydraulic components. Document calculations, design iterations, change orders, and production issues to inform future development and identify value-adding processes. Research, design, and develop new hydraulic elevator equipment and components and stay abreast of the latest technological advancements in the elevator design industry.
Required Skills and Qualities:
The position requires a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering and one year of experience in the job offered or a related position. The position requires skills
and knowledge in AutoCAD, SolidWorks, ANSYS, Six Sigma, and Lean Methodologies, ASME A17.1 Elevator and Escalator Safety Code, Hydraulic Systems, and Design for Manufacturability (DFM).40 hours/week. Job Interview Site: Los Angeles, CA

Job Title: Mechanical Engineer
Mechanical Engineer (Los Angeles, CA)
- Research, design and develop new hydraulic elevator system, equipment & components;
- Design working prototype of elevator platform and sling system.
- Create 3D Models, 2D drafting of elevator parts, including BOM & apply GD&T per ASME Y14.5.
- Interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics and reports for new product development.
- Conduct Finite Element Method simulation, thermal analysis by SolidWorks and engineering calculations to ensure the reliability of products and systems.
- Analyze and solve design and application problems.
- Implement established procedures to achieve defect-free designs or applications.
- Customize existing software and hardware to meet specific building needs.
- Provide design solutions to assigned safety, performance, cost, reliability, and maintenance problems.
- Interface with design and manufacturing teams to finish the projects within the cost and time constraints.
- Assist technical support teams to solve customer reported engineering issues.
To competently perform these duties, the candidates for this position must meet the following minimum requirements:
- Master’s degree in Mechanical or Materials Engineering.
- Certified Engineer-In-Training (EIT/FE).
- Proficiency in SolidWorks simulation, SolidWorks and Auto CAD.
- Able to follow detailed instructions, solve engineering problems, work independently and complete tasks on-time.
